barb's daiquiri ice

1  quart white rum (doesn't have to be top of the line) 
1  (12 oz.) can frozen lemonade 
1  (12 oz.) can frozen limeade
4  (12 oz.) cans = 6 cups  7 UP, Sprite, etc. (I use diet);  sometimes you can buy a big bottle more cheaply rather than cans, if you don't use a lot of this.

1. If using 5 qt ice cream pail, whisk rum, lemonade and limeade in it until ades are melted.  
2. Carefully pour in 7 UP and stir gently. Be sure there is at least an inch of space for expansion during freezing.  Let freeze 24 hours or more.  
3. Stir before serving with a spoon.

Doesn't take 24 hours to freeze. I had passable daiquiri in 12 hours. Also 1 L = ~ 1qt.
